1. Who we are
Lease Yoga provides online yoga and movement classes from New Zealand to customers around the world. Classes may be filmed in New Zealand or elsewhere. This does not change who manages your account information: Lease Yoga operates the online service from New Zealand.
This policy explains how Lease Yoga handles personal information under New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020. If privacy law where you live gives you additional mandatory rights, we will respect those rights where they apply.

2. Information we collect
We only collect information reasonably needed to provide and protect the service. This may include:
- your email address and account details;
- purchase records, class access, payment status, and transaction identifiers;
- messages you send to us and information needed to resolve a support request;
- basic technical and security information, such as device, browser, IP address, and sign-in activity; and
- your choices and acknowledgements when you register or purchase a class.
Stripe processes your card payment. Lease Yoga does not receive or store your full card number.
3. Why we use it
We use personal information to create and secure your account, process purchases, give you access to classes, provide support, prevent fraud or misuse, maintain and improve the website, meet legal obligations, and communicate important service information.
If information is required to create an account or complete a purchase and you do not provide it, we may be unable to provide that part of the service.
4. International customers and service providers
Because Lease Yoga serves customers worldwide and uses online providers, personal information may be processed in New Zealand and other countries. We share only the information needed with trusted providers that help us operate Lease Yoga, including Supabase for accounts and data, Stripe for payments, Mux for secure video streaming, and our website hosting provider.
We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and protect information when it is handled outside New Zealand. Privacy protections can differ between countries.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the safety or rights of a person, or during a genuine business transfer. We do not sell personal information.
5. Cookies and similar technology
Lease Yoga uses essential browser storage or cookies to keep you signed in, protect your account, remember necessary settings, and operate checkout and video access. We do not currently use this information for third-party advertising.
6. How we protect and keep information
We use reasonable safeguards and reputable service providers to protect personal information from loss, misuse, or unauthorised access. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.
We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, including account support, transaction records, fraud prevention, and legal or tax requirements. We then delete or anonymise it where reasonably practicable.
7. Your choices and rights
You may ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you. You may also ask us to close your account or delete information, although we may need to retain some records where the law or a legitimate business need requires it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights such as objecting to or restricting certain uses of your information.
Email admin@leaseyoga.com and we will respond under New Zealand privacy law and any other mandatory privacy law that applies. You may raise a concern with New Zealand’s Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz, or with your local privacy regulator where applicable.
8. Children and changes
Lease Yoga accounts are intended for adults. A person under 18 should use the service only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.
We may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change. The current version and update date will always appear on this page.
